It ROCKS...

August 26, 2006

It is amazing what sheetrock can do to the inside of a house under construction. The rooms start to have a real perspective in size and shape. I am starting to visualize where all the furniture will go...we are excited.

I am standing in the kitchen looking into the living room. The dinning room.

The foyer...I am looking for a church pew. If you see one please let me know.

Adam's favorite part...the garage.

The "rough" plumbing is complete. This is the laundry room.

We met with the cabinet man...again...we are making some adjustments to the kitchen. Moving the pantry, the oven, the stove....

All of the appliances have been shipped. Thankfully Chuck - one of the builders - is allowing us to store our appliances in his barn.
This is what Adam does for "fun" when we go to the property. He walks on the ceiling joists...it sometimes scares me!

Measure...

August 2, 2008

On Saturday Adam, D, and I measured the rooms to get an idea of the final dimensions since we made some minor changes to the floor plan.
We had a road trip to Akin's Furniture in Dogtown, AL. What an adventure! The prices were amazing...you pay wholesale and no tax. We did not purchase anything but, we got some great ideas. On the way home we ate dinner at Petro's In Cedar Town...it was wonderful!

Window Cut-Out

August 1, 2008 (it is already August?!)

All of the windows have been cut-out!
Back of the house - that porch cannot wait to have it's first gathering!

Side of house The corner...Adam said that I cannot call it the "corner" any more because it is not really a corner - but, I am going to still call it the "corner"
