Happy Mother's Day! It was nice to spend the early afternoon with Momma and then lunch with the whole family - I have a lot of wonderful mothers in my life! My Momma and my Grandmother might be my favorite!

Northgate's Prom

Saturday, May 2, 2009

One of the "benefits" of teaching high school is going to PROM...to be a chaperon! It is for the most part a lot of fun to see the students dressed up and having a good time.

9th Math Teachers...always laughing!

I managed to talk Jessica and Justin in coming back to another Northgate Prom.

Bon-Fire Camp-Out

Saturday, April 18, 2009

With over 6 acres of land - there seems to be a lot of "yard-work". Months ago the front yard was cleared out. Adam and D recently planted grass and leyland cypress trees along the road...grass is starting to grow and it really looks good! We recently had the back yard cleared out. WOAH - what a mess. So what do you do...you call young cousins - ask them if they want to help - and then they can camp-out with a bon-fire and spend the night...and they wanted to bring friend - sure more help.

Even though it was a lot of work - we really had a great time. The weather was perfect and the boys really enjoyed being out side.
Yuck! Found a snake. Scooter said, "Yes! We have fish bait!"

Friends and family came over for a cook-out dinner.

Do fish eat marshmellows?

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!
Our Easter baskets from my parents...

It is tradition that at Aunt Pam and Uncle Jimmy's is where we celebrate Easter with the Steele Family. It is always a lot of fun! Aunt Pam makes a delicious lunch and then we have an Easter Egg Hunt. Each person had a set number of eggs - you can only hunt for the eggs with your name on it. The eggs contain a "voucher" - lottery ticket, tomato plant, lotion, potted plant, money, candy, etc...

The hunt is on

The "babies" found their eggs...
