Kimber survived her first Black Friday! Momma and I started at 9:30am and did not stop until 4pm - Kimber did great but, I don't know if I could have done it without Momma! I am starting to train her early...she is going to be a wonderful shopping buddy!

It is hard to believe that 9 years later the tradition continues...we celebrate our friendship on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Our "crew" has grown - spouses/boy-girlfriends, siblings, new friends, and our own children!

This week has been wonderful! One of my favorite outings this week with Kimber was we went to the Coke Hanger to have lunch with my Daddy...I could not leave without getting some pictures of Daddy and Kimber with The Wind Ship plane!

Pediatrician

Today we had our first visit to the pediatrician. I have heard from several people that Dr. Jasmina Rice at Newnan Pediatrics is wonderful!...and she was!

Getting ready to be weighed...

She has almost gained all her weight back...when she was born she weighed 8lbs. 10oz. when we left the hospital she weighed 8lbs. 1oz. and today she weighed in at 8lbs. 8 oz...way to go breast milk!

Dr. Rice and Kimber...she had a great doctors visit. Kimber has a little hernia but, Dr. Rice said this is pretty common and should correct itself within the year.

We have an appointment to go back next Thursday just to weigh in...

I needed some "fresh-air" and Chick-fil-a sweet tea! Adam, Kimber and I loaded up and went out to get lunch and stop into Babies-R-Us. Kimber did really well on her first outing!

Yep! We were able to come home this afternoon. I could not wait to get home! I wanted to sit in my own chair, sleep in my own bed, and use my own bathroom! I had a wonderful experience at Fayette Medical! The doctors were fabulous and the nurses were out-of-this-world!

When I arrived at the hospital the "plan" was to finish out with a vaginal birth - I progressed very well to 7cm and received an epidural...once I hit 8cm nothing more happened for over 2 hours. After the nurses and doctors did everything they could - we opted back to a c-section.

Labor Day!

Very few people knew - but, I was scheduled to have a c-section at 7:30am this morning. I arrived at the hospital at 5:15am not knowing that I was in active labor! When Dr. Patricia Moore checked me I was 100% effaced and over 5cm dilated! Change of plans...needless to say I am not planning on having a c-section.
