Inappropriate Shower...

Saturday, August 22, 2009

Yep, only Rhonda and Amy could give an "Inappropriate" Baby Shower...oh my what fun was had by all!

What creative gifts...a diaper changing tool belt for Adam, a thong diaper, "hand" decorated maternity bras, the famous hamster wheel saying came to life, bottled-nippled beer, advent calendar, joke book, Kimber shirts...remember that her name is after the Kimber gun - If you need any explanations...just ask!
What a great way to start the shower festivities off...

Early Birthday...

What can I say...

My parents ROCK!

I have had my eye on the Nikon D90 camera for several months...and when I got pregnant - I wanted it even more. So...my parents thought it would be a wonderful idea for an early birthday present - I now have this awesome, fabulous, amazing camera to capture the last couple of months of my pregnancy, the upcoming baby showers, and yes, Kimber! I am in love with this camera - it by far exceeds my expectations!

30 Weeks

Saturday, August 22, 2009

30 weeks....plus a couple of days...

On Tuesday, August 18th I went to the doctor - at this point in the pregnancy I have started to go to the doctor every other week. My blood work follow-up was great - still maintaining a great weight (keep your fingers crossed I can continue) and I am still measuring early.
Let the countdown begin...around 9 weeks left...

Nana & Pop Visit

Saturday, August 15, 2009

On Saturday, Daddy and I went over to Nana and Pop's for a great visit.

It is obvious longevity is in their "blood". Pop will be 89 later this August and Nana will be 90 in February!

Dinner with Di (& Brandon)

Thursday, August 13, 2009

Since Diana moved home - I still don't get to see her as often as I would like - I have gotten to see her more!

We enjoyed dinner at Olive Garden - had great conversation and heartfelt laughs!

Happy Birthday, Momma!

Saturday, August 8, 2009

Momma turned 50 something on Friday, August 7th but, we celebrate on Saturday evening at our house with my parents and Adam's parents. Adam and I cooked Kabobs for dinner...they were great!

And then...in honor of Mimi...we made a HOMEMADE whipped pound cake! It was delicious! Happy Birthday, Momma!

Love you!

Kimber's 3D Ultrasound

Saturday, August 8, 2009

How exciting! We had another 3D ultrasound! We first had one 3D around 17 weeks...and Kimber did not look much like a "human" but, a lot can change in 10 weeks! We invited a lot of family to get their first look at little Kimber...they all had a wonderful time!
In the "Momma-Chair" getting ready for the ultrasound.

Kimber said, "Hi! Just wanted you to know I am OK..."
Can you see her little hand making the OK sign?

Sweet Baby!

Kimber's Gift

Friday, August 7, 2009

Erica Johnson works were my Daddy is having orthodontic care...yep that is right he has Invisalign...she gave this gift to my him to give to me...and I have to brag about what she made...

First, any present is just that-much-better when it is wrapped like this...And...how precious is this little tutu...I can see Kimber in this for her 6 month pictures!

Thanks, Erica!

First Day of School

Friday, August 7, 2009

First Day of School...yippee!
28/29 weeks pregnant. I had an appointment on August 4th - Kimber is measuring about a week or so "early". Kimber is moving more and move everyday. I "walked" her all day on Thursday because of pre-planning - she did not move at all during the day but, girl when I got home that afternoon I don't think she stopped moving until 1am!

Mimi

Monday, July 27, 2009

We are ready for July to be over!

It was expected but, not wanted...the Steele family lost their Mimi. She lived a long wonderful 93 years! I am so very fortunate that she became another grandmother for me for four years.

I will miss her Newnan famous tea-cakes and homemade cakes!

This is one of the beautiful flower arrangements from the grandchildren- if you look closely you will notice it has all the cookie cutters, the rolling pin, the lamb cake pan, and other things from her kitchen...one of the most unique arrangements I have ever seen!

Love you, Mimi!
